I hope after reading my story, you will think about your treatment,
ask questions, and know you are not alone.
Excerpt: "I am doing another round
of chemo. My fingernails and toenails have fallen off and
I'm bald again. I no longer recognize myself. I have to keep
telling myself that I am alive and all this will be over soon."
This is my story about my personal struggle with breast cancer.
I have included photos of myself during various parts of my
treatments. The photos are graphic, but part of cancers reality
and I felt that they needed to be shared with other cancer
patients. I am a real woman who has experienced cancer. I
want to share with you my story, my truth, my battle.
WHY I WROTE THIS eBOOK?
I know that when I was diagnosed with cancer, I searched
the Internet for photos, information and blogs from women
that were actually going through what I was going through.
I wanted to hear stories and see photos. I wanted to see the
reality of what to expect. I wanted to feel and see that my
outcome was like others. I wanted to know that other women
had reconstruction that just didn't’t turn out perfect. I
wanted to see the reality of it all without it being sugar-coated.
I hope that you cancerlearn from my e-book, that you laugh,
and that you relate to it in someway and know that you are
not alone. We all have stories. I am a warrior. I will keep
facing each day with my head held high, raising my children
and accepting my past and my tomorrow.
Donations from the sale of each e-book will be made to:
1. A donation will be made to ImagebyKimarie.com,
to help a cancer patient towards the cost of hair extensions
or a bump... I feel this donation is very Important, for hair
makes a world of difference to a patient who has been traumatized,
not only by their disease, but by the humiliation of losing
their hair and not financially being able to purchase a decent
hair piece.
2. A donation will be made to TheSamFund.org.
This Is a wonderful fund that provides financial assistance
to patients while they are living through cancer. It Is a
grant that provides funding for day to day living expenses.
